SEC sanctions portfolio manager for deceiving compliance officer

The Securities and Exchange Commission has sanctioned a former portfolio manager because he forged documents and misled the chief compliance officer of the firm after he failed to report personal trades. The SEC found that the manager, who worked for an investment bank, created false pre-trade approvals as part of the deception.
