Shell begins taking feedstock bids in latest step for assessing Pa. cracker

Shell Chemical has started accepting feedstock bids from Marcellus Shale producers to fuel its proposed multibillion-dollar ethane cracker in Beaver County, Pa. The move is part of the evaluation process, but there still are "several critical milestones to achieve before making a final investment decision on whether to proceed with construction of this proposed complex," said Shell spokeswoman Kimberly Windon.
