Students from China, S. Korea explore leadership, friendship in Japan

About 200 middle-school students from South Korea and China travelled by boat to Japan earlier this month as part of a three-week summer programme to help the students learn about friendship and leadership. The visit, part of the "Maritime Rainbow School" organised by the South Jeolla Province Office of Education, focused largely on the nuclear bombing in Nagasaki, where students visited historic sites and viewed artifacts.
