This month, the Transportation Security Administration shut down a dedicated priority lane separate from the general security lanes at Chicago Midway International Airport. The TSA put up a sign for priority travelers in the main security area but did not staff the line with an agent, so it was not accessible. A Chicago Aviation Department spokeswoman was not sure if the federal funds sequester was to blame for the decreased staffing. A TSA spokeswoman did not immediately respond to comment.
