Zimmer gets FDA OK for personalized shoulder implant

Zimmer Holdings has been cleared by the FDA to market its Patient Specific Instruments Shoulder device, which features 3D visualization software to allow surgeons to customize implant size and placement to each patient. The device works in conjunction with the company's Trabecular Metal Reverse Shoulder system for use in patients undergoing reverse anthroplasty surgery.
