Fingertip ultrasound technology designed for more intuitive testing

Sonivate Medical's SonicEye is an ultrasound probe that has been reduced in size to fit on a finger. The idea is to make the process simpler and more intuitive for clinicians, particularly for needle guidance, while adding a more human aspect to the experience, something that holds particular promise for imaging of infants. The fingertip probe is in use by some clinicians, medical schools and the military.
