Risk-averse companies, consumers hinder economic growth, MAPI economist says

Consumers and businesses are still skittish about risk, which is keeping the economy from its full potential for growth, says MAPI Chief Economist Daniel J. Meckstroth. "Conditions are ripe for a capital-spending boom," he says. However, the spending boom has not taken place because of companies' aversion to risk, Meckstroth adds.
