Yoga can help relieve back pain

Research has shown that viniyoga, a form of yoga that warms muscles before stretching, can be a safe, effective treatment for back pain. Viniyoga teacher Charlene Cappellini says, “Yoga practice also helps you become more aware of your body and how you are moving, and it helps build a stronger and more stable body. Stress is known to make pain worse, and yoga reduces stress.”
