Morrison may offer less than planned for U.K.'s Safeway

Wm Morrison, which may get the nod to bid on the U.K.'s Safeway chain, likely will offer less than its original amount for the grocery chain, the Financial Times reports. Some say the lower bid would be acceptable for Safeway's shareholders to quickly end the sale, although it could have risks.
