NPs take to Wal-Marts in pilot program

Nurse practitioners are going on staff at 12 Wal-Mart stores in Arkansas as part of a pilot program offering low-cost health care. The NPs, provided through programs including Houston's RediClinic, will offer services ranging from treatment for strep throat and pink eye to vaccinations, physical exams and screenings for conditions such as diabetes and prostate cancer.
