High court gears up to hear school integration cases

The Bush administration filed briefs last week to urge the U.S. Supreme Court reject two districts' school plans designed to achieve racial integration on the grounds they are just as unconstitutional as segregation policies of the past. The high court this fall takes up the challenges of parents in Seattle and Louisville, Ky., to their districts' plans for racial balance.
