Women shouldn't have to pay more for tailored services

A recent plan for a women-only floor at the new JW Marriott in Grand Rapids, Mich., was canceled after some opposition, but one travel editor says the only thing objectionable is that women should have to pay more for services specific to their preferences and needs. This editor concurs with another commentator's statement that hotels should ensure that their rooms are compatible with all guests, especially since women now make up as many as 43% of all business travelers.
