Deadline nears for toll lanes in Los Angeles

If Los Angeles lawmakers do not pass legislation to allow commuters to use high-occupancy lanes for a fee by Sunday, L.A. county risks losing a federal grant worth $210.6 million for road projects. The proposal would allow motorists to drive in carpool lanes on the 10 and 110 freeway for a toll.
