ECB signals inflation concerns will prevent rate cut

Policymakers at the European Central Bank suggested that an interest-rate cut was not on the table because of new fears regarding the inflation outlook. The comments came despite a slowdown in growth in the eurozone and German data signaling a drop in headline-inflation rates. Axel Weber, president of Germany's Deutsche Bundesbank, cautioned that another interest-rate increase may be needed when economic growth rebounds.
