FDA, industry groups aim to standardize medical imaging in studies

The FDA and two industry organizations are set to host a workshop in October that will focus on establishing a standard for medical-imaging use in clinical trials to ensure compliance with the agency's review process and the Proposed Draft Regulatory Guidance of 2011. The workshop will seek to develop various outcomes, including a standard for Web-based data transfers.
