Sprint's Xohm signs deal enabling location-based apps

Xohm, Sprint's new WiMAX network, has teamed up with uLocate Communications so that developers and device partners can build location-based services into Xohm's service when it debuts in Baltimore next month. "The Xohm mobile-broadband experience will be largely location-centric. We're creating a new dimension to online presence, making points of interest near your current location easy to identify and access," said Rick Robinson, vice president of Xohm Services.
