ADHD symptoms carry on beyond adolescence

An estimated 8 million adults have attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, although millions are unaware, according to the American Psychiatric Association, which notes that about 60% of children with ADHD continue to experience the disability after childhood. A Rhode Island support group helps adults cope with ADHD, which can manifest as poor concentration, hyperactivity, irritability and other problems.
