Dodd may take the helm of Senate health committee

Sen. Christopher Dodd, D-Conn., pledged to carry on the efforts of Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass., to provide universal health care to Americans if he decides to take over the late statesman's chairmanship of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions. However, Dodd said he had yet to make a decision on the chairmanship.
