Conn. districts use computer systems to track student data

Educators in some Connecticut districts say they are learning to properly analyze student data and use it to improve teaching and learning. One district is creating spreadsheets with student data, and its system allows educators to make comparisons among students' attendance records, after-school commitments and other information. "We can take anecdotal information and pair it with data analysis to make really difficult decisions," one administrator said.
