Planning ahead can help small businesses survive natural disasters

One in four small businesses struck by natural disasters don't reopen, according to the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety. To minimize the damage, small-business owners should create a business-continuity plan, which evaluates factors such as the chance of disaster, how much financial damage the business can absorb and how much insurance is needed.
