Visual social media marketing is a breakout trend for 2012, Intel social media strategist Ekaterina Walter writes. The rise of sites such as Instagram and Pinterest and the spread of camera-enabled smartphones have combined to make image-based sharing a powerful way for brands to communicate succinctly with their customers, Walter writes. "Brands who can rock visual media will find themselves market leaders," she writes.
