Ala. town's businesses mobilize to fight sign rule changes

Businesses in Bay Minette, Ala., mobilized quickly to speak out against proposed changes to the town's sign ordinance, a move that derailed the measure at least temporarily. "I know that I am aggressive in my signage. Bay Minette doesn't have the population base to support the current business. We have to use signs and sales to attract outside customers," said car dealer Chuck Stevens, who had 19 of his employees speak at the meeting.
