Dow Chemical details plan to build new plants in La., Texas

Dow Chemical is slated to invest $1.06 billion for two new Louisiana plants and make separate investments in its Freeport, Texas, facility -- all part of its $4 billion U.S. Gulf Coast investment plan. The new Louisiana plants will be on different sides of Dow's Plaquemine complex and will create 71 permanent jobs.
