Founder sells Powell's Sweet Shoppe

Powell's Sweet Shoppe founder Michael Powell has sold the 16-shop West Coast company to employee Bear Silber, 31, hired in 2011. “I admire a lot of his ideas and creativity. He still has a stake in the company and will have an advisory role," said Silber, who said he wants to add both corporate and franchised locations.
