Manufacturing executives surveyed by MAPI acknowledge that uncertainty is still the norm in the global economy -- but they will still move forward for growth. That said, they are not anticipating significant forward momentum. "Not surprisingly, many executives told us that weak demand and customers' hesitation to spend will have a negative impact on growth in 2013," said Cam Mackey, MAPI vice president and survey coordinator. The responses to the survey, Global Growth in 2013 -- Outlook and Risk Factors, also indicated that manufacturers see health care costs as a drag on corporate operations.
