Marketers get more bang for their paid-search bucks

Paid-search referrals to e-commerce sites rose to 33% of total search engine visits in the first half of the year, up from to 26%, per MarketLive Mid-Year Benchmark. Referrals from paid search yielded 2.6% more conversions, and the average order size from paid search "was $113 vs. $109.66 from organic, and drove 7.1 pages per visit vs. 6.8 pages, respectively," writes Laurie Sullivan.
