McDonald's to tie new bone-in chicken wings to NFL deal

McDonald's is pairing its National Football League sponsorship with the launch of Mighty Wings, a bone-in chicken wing product that will be available Sept. 9 through November. Creative, which is allowed to use the NFL's shield and team logos, will be run by Burrell Communications, with digital handled by DDB, sources said. "Given the natural tie between wings and football, the NFL is the perfect partner to help promote our new Mighty Wings," said a McDonald's spokeswoman.
