Room service revenue was down 25% in 2012 from levels in 2007, PKF Hospitality Research says. Many hotels still provide food via fast-casual concepts, often in the lobby or other main area of the hotel. "Though it seems unlikely that room service in its traditional form will disappear completely, the transformation is undeniable," writes Josh Noel.
