SEC tells advisers to plan faster recovery from disruption

The Securities and Exchange Commission has issued a risk alert for financial advisers, instructing them to review business-continuity plans to shorten recovery time in an emergency. The alert comes after 40 examinations after Superstorm Sandy found that some advisers had failed to fully test continuity plans.
