States prepare for shift to common core's computer-based assessments

In a survey of 40 states that have adopted Common Core State Standards, most indicated they are facing technology challenges as they prepare for computer-based assessments. Nineteen states indicated that work is being done to support students at risk of failing the exams, and 14 states are considering tests developed outside of the two multistate consortia charged with creating the assessments. The survey was conducted by the Center on Education Policy.
