Survey: Majority of single men clean sheets only four times a year

A new survey reveals that 55 percent of single men between the ages of 18 and 25 wash their sheets about four times per year. But dirty sheets can carry risks "associated with the pathogens that humans shed into their environment when they are sick or when they are 'silent carriers' of community-based infections," said microbiologist Elizabeth Scott. Sheets should be cleaned weekly, Scott added.
