Twitter's long road to advertising success

Monetizing Twitter has been a long, slow process, but the company's go-slow strategy appears to be paying off, Todd Wasserman writes, noting that it's expected to have ad revenues of about $400 million this year and that while users aren't thrilled at the increase in paid content, they haven't abandoned the service. "Although [CEO Dick Costolo] claimed that people would 'love' Twitter advertising, in reality, they merely tolerated it," Wasserman writes.
