EPA issues final risk assessment for dichloromethane

The Environmental Protection Agency identifies cancer risks from the use of dichloromethane paint strippers in its final risk assessment. There are also noncancer risks for consumers and residential bystanders, it says. The American Chemistry Council plans to "review these assessments to determine if the agency refined them beyond the initial screening-level drafts EPA released earlier this year."
