For well-heeled travelers, unique trips are a must

Experts say luxury travel is the fastest-growing segment of the industry, and more well-heeled travelers are seeking unique, educational vacation experiences. American Society of Travel Agents President Kathryn Sudeikis says the trend is fueled by cosmopolitan baby boomers inheriting their parents' money. "The baby boomer doesn't want a cookie-cutter vacation. They want an experiential trip and they're willing to pay to make it a unique experience," Sudeikis said.
