Number of uninsured continues to rise

With medical costs increasing at three times the rate of wage increases, the number of Americans without health insurance probably hit record numbers in 2005, according to forecasts for a Census Bureau report. Analysts say Democrats likely will seize on the fact that the number of uninsured people in the country has risen every year since George W. Bush has been in office, despite his claim in 2004 that 45.8 million uninsured citizens was "unacceptable in our country."
