U.S., Canada put restrictions on some Bombardier CRJs

Officials in the U.S. and Canada, citing recurrent safety issues surrounding the operation of wing flaps, have put tight restrictions on the use of Bombardier CRJ 100, 200 and 440 jets. The unusually detailed directives spell out when, where and how the aircraft can be used. The new regulations do not apply to newer Bombardier jet models.
