Louisiana governor: State's economy is stronger

Louisiana's economy is better three years after Hurricane Katrina, thanks to a commitment to fiscal conservatism, Gov. Bobby Jindal writes in a Wall Street Journal commentary. The storms forced Louisiana to rethink its past aspirations and allowed the state to rebuild the failed institutions of the past better. "Significant policy reforms, conservative fiscal management and targeted investments are now steadily transforming Louisiana into the next great American state for business investment, quality of life and economic opportunity," Jindal says.
