Most stroke patients forgo warfarin, study finds

The majority of patients with atrial fibrillation who suffered a stroke prior to hospital admission were either not taking warfarin or were not taking enough of the blood-thinning drug, according to a Canadian study. "These are missed opportunities for stroke prevention," the study's lead author said.
