Oregon Public Health Division offers turf recommendations

In response to concerns about potential lead exposure, the Oregon Public Health Division issued recommendations for schools and other institutions that use artificial turf. The division tested artificial turf products and determined that the trace amounts of lead did not pose a significant danger. However, the report warned against playing on old or worn fields.
