Brown pledges additional UK support for Pakistani students

British Prime Minister Gordon Brown has announced UK support for education in Pakistan, pledging £665 million to help stabilise the country's borders, including with Afghanistan. Brown says Britain will help provide Pakistan with more textbooks for school children in border areas, and the UK will also help send as many as 300,000 girls from disadvantaged families to secondary school.
