Daily Economic Indicator: Central bankers are optimistic on recovery

The global economic recovery may be uneven, but it likely will remain on track, according to current and former central bankers from around the globe. While optimism reigned, some officials were struck by the pessimism about the U.S. economic recovery. However, many participants supported a view from Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke that the U.S. economy will be sluggish for the remainder of 2010 and then pick up next year.
