Singapore wants to boost the telecom-license penalty

Telecoms violating Singapore license laws will pay a heftier fine if the Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts has its way. The governmental body wants to boost the current maximum penalty of 1 million Singapore dollars to 10% of a telecom's revenue for the licensed service and aims to suspend or cancel licenses when providers don't pay the fine on time.
