Travel CEOs say consolidation, technology are changing the industry

Douglas Anderson, president and CEO at Carlson Wagonlit Travel, and other industry leaders discussed at a recent conference how enhanced technologies and consolidation are altering the landscape of the travel industry. Anderson said he sees "a fragmented market for travel-management companies," but he also noted "lots of opportunity for consolidation, [making for attractive] economies of scale."
