Dow Chemical CEO's manufacturing vision bodes well for U.S. recovery

Dow Chemical CEO Andrew Liveris' book "Make it in America" seems like the blueprint of the Obama administration's program to generate jobs by boosting the U.S. manufacturing sector, writes Rebecca Kaplan. Liveris is involved in the government's plan to revive manufacturing, serving on the presidential Export Council and the public-private Advanced Manufacturing Partnership. "Liveris is a good start. He lays out a view of the world in which the business and the private sector are partners, working in tandem to kick the American economy back into gear," Kaplan writes.
