HHS names chairman of Alzheimer's disease council

The HHS has appointed Dr. Ronald Petersen, director of the Mayo Alzheimer's Disease Research Center and the Mayo Clinic Study of Aging, as chairman of the Advisory Council on Alzheimer's Research, Care and Services. The HHS council is made up of Alzheimer's disease experts who will advise the agency concerning federal initiatives in relation to the disease and associated dementia.
