Chemical industry awaits regulatory impact of presidential election

The chemical industry could see differences in chemical regulation and federal support of science education, research and innovation depending on who wins the presidential race this fall. "The Obama administration is recognizing the need to prioritize chemicals for review," said American Chemistry Council spokesman Scott Jensen. However, "[w]e are trying to avoid a regulatory system that wouldn't be workable," Jensen added.
