Chevron abandons Nigeria LNG project, concentrates on distribution

Chevron has pulled out from the Olokola liquefied natural gas project in Nigeria after eight years of financial obstacles and is directing its attention to becoming a supplier of natural gas in the country. The domestic gas market "appears to have much more opportunities in that space," said Chevron spokesman Kurt Glaubitz.
