Distance learning helps N.C. school expand course offerings

Mount Airy High School in North Carolina may be a small school, but technology is allowing it to offer the kinds of classes often available at larger schools. Mount Airy is teaming up with the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics for a distance-learning partnership that will bring students new classes, such as honors forensic science, Advanced Placement environmental science, AP stats, honors genetics and biotechnology.
