Experts help Minn. teachers learn to overcome obstacles during PD sessions

Sharroky Hollie, executive director of the Center for Culturally Responsive Teaching and Learning, and Robert Marzano, co-founder and CEO of Marzano Research Laboratory, recently led a professional-development session for St. Cloud, Minn., teachers in which they focused in part on cultural responsiveness and overcoming obstacles to teaching and learning. The experts also asked teachers to consider identifying and setting aside their biases and prejudices.
