FINRA, exchanges propose amended curbs for some ETFs

The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority along with a number of exchanges petitioned the Securities and Exchange Commission to increase the volume threshold for the limit-up/limit-down pilot program as it pertains to the initial group of exchange-traded funds to fall under its purview. The petitioners are asking the SEC to keep the new volatility curbs from applying to certain ETFs that trade under an average of $2 million in shares per day.
